Malaysia to Host Inaugural ASEAN AI Malaysia Summit 2025

From 12–13 August 2025, Kuala Lumpur will become the epicenter of Southeast Asia’s AI future with the ASEAN AI Malaysia Summit 2025, hosted at MITEC by the Ministry of Digital.  

This landmark gathering — the first of its kind in the region — will unite policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and civil society to catalyze collaboration, governance, and innovation in artificial intelligence.  

Why it matters  

• ASEAN stands at a critical turning point: AI will shape not just our economies, but our societies and values.  

• The Summit will align national strategies, harmonize governance frameworks, and unlock cross-border opportunities.  

• Most importantly, it will spotlight how we must drive AI innovation hand-in-hand with ethics — ensuring AI accelerates progress while safeguarding human values and rights.
